We go on about our lives
We hold and kiss our husbands and wives
And tuck our children in at night
We give them just a fleeting thought
Never knowing the plans and dreams they sought
Some with babies they never knew
No future left to pursue
As Angels Fall
Their comrades and family’s hearts break
Gave everything there was to take
For them no honor is too high
As a flag is passed to a Mother, Father or Bride
Teardrops fall and a part of them dies inside
These Warriors weren’t those who set protocol
They raised their right hand
Traveled to a foreign land
And gave it their all
So whether you lean to the right or left side
Pay respect to the Brave souls that died
We owe them for their sacrifice
The ones who fought through Fire and Ice
And still Volunteers answer the call
As Angels Fall
